I have many women in my family, from cousins, sisters and aunts to nieces, sisters in law, and also friends. So as you can imagine, I've been to a lot of different baby showers. But the one I went to recently stands out as absolutely brilliant and gorgeous.

They made something very special when they decided to use brand new ideas for baby showers. One of the things they did was bring gifts for the mother to be as well as the baby. I thought that was very nice, because the mother was able to get some well deserved pampering!

One of the best ideas for baby showers was instead of making one large cake, they made tiny little cakes for each guest. There was also a game involved: A little plastic baby was baked into one of the cakes. Whoever got the baby won a prize!

This made things a little more interesting, and they used several different designs for the cakes. But how they decorated remains one of my favorite things about the baby shower. See, the mother to be chose not to find out the sex of her baby, so they couldn't decorate the usual pink or blue.

Instead, they decorated the entire room with cute sayings such as, "Mommy's Little Princess or Daddy's Little Quarterback?" There were a bunch of beautiful posters printed out with sayings like that. They even featured princess crowns and footballs!

That was one of the best baby showers I ever experienced. Not only that, they had truly had some of the greatest ideas for baby showers. Try using some of the ideas above if you want to do something really unique. Have fun celebrating the pending arrival of your newest loved one!
